About the Team

About Brian Ulrich

I grew up in Willmar, MN and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a special emphasis in Accounting in December, 1982.

My work background includes 43 years in Accounting and Finance, which included being a Controller for a public Hospital, Nursing Home and Clinic as well as the Finance Director for a Multi-County Community Action Agency. Roughly half of my career was spent working in companies that I had founded.

I’ve personally experienced both a Divorce and a Separation with Children. Each of these experiences involved several years of very difficult battles in Court with my exes and they were very expensive. Having gone through those ordeals, I learned the damage that they can cause both emotionally and financially to not only Parents but also especially to their Children.

It’s my privilege to be able to assist other Parents in these similar situations by helping them resolve their conflict in a much healthier, positive way and to save them a lot of money in the process. Along with my wife Dawn, we bring to the table a lifetime of lived experience. Our second marriage, for both of us, is blessed with three adult daughters and three adult sons. We also are Grandparents to 14 Grandchildren.

About Dawn Ulrich

I grew up in Detroit Lakes, MN. In 1988 I attended Fergus Falls Community College where I became licensed as an LPN. My career spanned 33 years where I worked for the Veterans Administration in both Fargo, ND and then later on in St. Cloud, MN. Three years ago I retired from Nursing.

I’ve been married to my husband Brian for 14 years and together we have 6 Children. We share his three girls and my three boys from previous relationships (just like the Brady Bunch but without Alice). We’ve also been blessed with 14 Grandchildren and an 80lb. Pitbull affectionately named Buster.

For recreation I enjoy traveling, golfing and spending time at our boat that we keep on Lake Michigan.

Having been divorced years ago, (it’s both Brian and my second marriage), I understand the emotional and financial turmoil that can occur. My goal is to help other Parents navigate their way through a Divorce or Separation in as peaceful a way as possible.

Our Mission

To assist parents of minor children who are getting divorced or separated by utilizing mediation. Helping them to resolve their disputes by opening lines of communication.

Our Vision

To affordably optimize the outcome to the parties by utilizing our unique knowledge and background. This includes Brian’s family law reform advocacy, his professional experience in finance and accounting as well as our own personal experiences going through divorce and separation.

Our Values

To bring parties through the mediation process in a way that recognizes the new structure of their family, and the importance of them both supporting the children going forward.
